The portion of Cummings Highway that experienced a large rockslide Tuesday morning has been reopened, according to a news release from TDOT.

TDOT crews near SR-148 in Chattanooga cleaned up the debris, which consisted of very large rocks, one of which was estimated to be the size of a very small car.

Spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn said that crews were able to clean the roadway relatively quickly, and that the road was not completely closed during the work.

No people were injured.
