Georgia teacher accused of exposing himself to woman

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A high school teacher and football coach has been accused of exposing himself to a woman in Atlanta's suburbs.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports 24-year-old Allen Reeves Blankenship was arrested Tuesday night and charged with one count of misdemeanor public indecency. Gwinnett County Police say the incident happened in the parking lot of a Hobby Lobby arts and crafts store in Lawrenceville.

The Brookwood High School teacher and coach was released Wednesday on a $2,950 bond. County Public Schools community relations director Bernard Watson says the district is aware of Blankenship's arrest, but can't comment further because it is a personnel matter.

WSB-TV quotes Blankenship's defense attorney, Phyliss Miller, as saying that Blankenship should be "given the benefit of the doubt" until the investigation is complete.
