The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of a Dalton man who allegedly shot his estranged girlfriend Friday night.

According to a news release, multiple witnesses told investigators that Bertram Beck forced his way into a home in the 1000 block of Prince Way in Dalton around 7:35 p.m. and shot Heather Griffin twice.

Paramedics took Griffin to a Chattanooga hospital. Whitfield County Sheriff's Office Lt. Paul Woods said Griffin was in stable condition Saturday morning.

Officers are still looking for Beck, who now has warrants against him on charges of home invasion and aggravated assault.

His last known address is 902 Straight Street in Dalton, according to the release. Anyone with information about Beck can call the sheriff's office at 706-278-1233
