Local delivery driver carjacked at gunpoint

A local delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint Wednesday night in Chattanooga.

The driver, who works for an unidentified local restaurant, was delivering an order to the 1400 block of Jefferson Street when he was robbed, according to a release from Public Information Officer Rob Simmons with the Chattanooga Police Department.

After the driver parked his 2013 Dodge Challenger, an unknown suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded his possessions, according to the release.

Police found the car later, but it was unoccupied. Detectives are still investigating the case.
