Suspicious package cleared after security checkpoint shut down at Chattanooga Airport

UPDATE: The suspicious package was checked and cleared.

Security checkpoint has been reopened and operations are back to normal. People have resumed boarding planes, an airport spokesman said.

It's not clear what the contents of the package were or what caused the suspicion.

ORIGINAL STORY: Chattanooga Airport's security checkpoint has been closed because of something that was found by TSA agents, a spokesman said today.

Security agents want to check the situation as a precaution.
