The Georgia State Patrol filed a slew of charges earlier this month against 31-year-old Alisha Danielle Taylor, whose crash in Walker County, Ga., last year killed her daughter.

According to a report from a GSP trooper, Taylor drove her Toyota Corolla west on Battlefield Parkway, near the intersection with Hogan Road, around 9:40 a.m. on Oct. 21 when she crossed the center line, hitting a Chevrolet Silverado head-on.

"[Taylor] stated she thought she was trying to make a phone call when the crash occured," the trooper wrote in the report.

Taylor's 4-year-old daughter, Nakylie, was later pronounced dead.

On Feb. 1, the Georgia State Patrol charged Taylor with homicide by vehicle, DUI, two counts of possession of controlled substances, failure to maintain lane, failure to exercise due care and a safety restraint violation for a child younger than 8.

Taylor and the driver of the Silverado were also injured in the crash.
