A Scottsboro, Ala., man lost his life in a two-car crash Thursday on Alabama Highway 79, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Spokesman Curtis Summerville said Bobby Joe Moody, 51, was killed when the 1982 Dodge pickup he was driving was struck by a 2007 Saab driven by Matthew Brewer, 39, also of Scottsboro.
Moody, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Summerville.
Brewer was not injured.
The crash happened at 10:35 p.m. CST on Alabama 79 at the 90 mile marker, less than a mile south of Skyline, officials said.
