Sewanee Oganize and Act, a group formed in Sewanee, Tenn., to "champion progressive values and oppose a governmental agenda that threatens to move the country backward," will meet at 2 p.m. CST on Sunday at Otey Parish Hall.

Group organizers say membership has grown from 170 to 285 since late-January.

Individual working groups have been formed, each concentrating on environment and agriculture, health, education, women's rights, freedom of the press, immigration, civil rights/LGBTA rights, local politics, or protesting logistics, according to a press release from the group. The group's objective is to engage representatives in Congress and voice their concerns about these issues, the release states.
