One person is listed in critical condition at a local hospital after a shooting on the 1900 block of E 34th Street Tuesday night.

At 7:20 p.m. police responded to a disorder on the 3900 block of 6th Avenue but quickly learned the fight had been caused by a shooting several blocks away on East 34th Street, according to a news release.

At that location, officers found a shooting victim who was taken to the hospital. Officers were also able to locate a suspect, Carolyn Ross, 57, who was taken into custody.

That shooting preceded another on the 3600 block of Brainerd Road by only two hours. The victim arrived at a hospital in a personal car with life-threatening injuries and a crime scene was located at a gas station there.

Investigators are following all leads and anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police immediately.
