Chattanooga vape store manager booked into Hamilton County Jail on attempted murder charge

The manager of a Chattanooga vape store chain who was charged with attempted murder last month for allegedly shooting a marine has been booked into the Hamilton County Jail.

Benjamin Thomas Connally III, 30, was arrested on May 12 in Catoosa County for possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

However, he was also wanted in Hamilton County in connection to the March shooting of a marine, Gunnery Sgt. Robert Driver Jr., 34, in front of a restaurant on the 2100 block of Hamilton Place Boulevard.

Connally was held by authorities in Catoosa County until Thursday when he was booked in Hamilton County on charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office online booking report.
