UPDATE at 8:42 p.m.: Riverbend was given the "all clear" from local law enforcement after a suspicious package halted entrance to the festival and led to the evacuation of some attendees to nearby businesses.
Responders inspected the package and determined it presented no danger, according to a tweet from the Chattanooga Police Department.
The festival has reopened.

A person in a blast suit with an area bomb squad was on scene searching the area, an officer confirmed.
The Chattanooga Police Department confirmed the incident in a tweet, writing CPD specialists and chief Fred Fletcher are on scene responding to a suspicious package.
The main gate of the festival is closed.
