Rhea County authorities arrested two suspects in a robbery from the Deli Mart/Gulf Station in Evensville that happened around 2 a.m. today.

A white man who had his face covered entered the store while the clerks were in the back room, according to a statement from the Rhea County Sheriff' Mike Neal. "A clerk saw the male subject getting into a drawer and attempted to confront him."

At that point, the man ran from the store, Neal said.

Officers reviewed security camera footage and found that another man was waiting in a car and helped the man who fled the store to escape, the sheriff said.

About $200 was taken from the store cash register.

Using a good image of the getaway car, officers were able to locate and arrested John F. Costa, 56, and Andrew Gene Costa, 19, and charge both men with aggravated burglary, Neal said.

Both men are being held without bond.
