Chickamauga, Ga., schools named 'Reward District' for highest testing performances

The Chickamauga City Schools district has been named a 2016-2017 Title 1 Reward District for its students' performance over three years on statewide assessments, a news release states.

Chickamauga won in the extra-small districts category for those with fewer than 2,000 students.

Each Reward District receives an additional $25,000 in federal grant money.

Forsyth County won in the large districts category, Oconee County in the medium districts category and Jefferson City in the small category.
