Stepson's body is exhibit A in trial of alleged 'evil stepmom'

The state's best evidence Tuesday against an allegedly torturous stepmother was her stepson's own body.

Austin McIntosh, now 20, showed jurors in Knox County Criminal Court the physical scars he still bears from months of abuse and starvation he says he suffered at the direction and hands of his stepmother, Jessica Cox.

"This scar right here," he said, pointing at a photo of his foot as it was in May 2013 when he and his brother showed up at Farragut High School battered and handcuffed together. "It's still on my foot."
