Chattanooga police responded to a person shot call on the 2700 block of 2700 block of 12th Avenue Monday night.
The victim, 38-year-old Derrick Isom, was exiting a vehicle at the time of the shooting, according to witnesses.
Isom suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was unable to provide a description of the suspect. He was transported to a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
