A woman is in critical condition after she was shot Sunday during an argument with a man at a residence in Valley Head.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office responded to the call and arrested a 50-year-old man.
The man, Roy Miller Barkley III, was arguing with the woman and his gun went off and hit the woman during the argument, witnesses say. The woman was life-flighted to Erlanger.
Barkley was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
