Two juveniles in DeKalb County, Ala., were arrested this week after incidents at two schools, a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office states.

A school resource officer called Monday to a possible burglary at Fyffe School found a window broken and classrooms vandalized, a news release states.

Security cameras at the school captured images of a juvenile who was arrested Tuesday and referred to the Juvenile Probation Office, authorities said.

Also on Monday, a juvenile brought a BB pistol to a classroom at Crossville Middle School. The principal and school resource officer were contacted and the juvenile was detained before transfer to the Coosa Valley Detention Center.

"We take these kinds of incidents very seriously, especially with what is happening in schools and places around the world," Chief Deputy Michael Edmondson said. "Our children are precious and we do everything that we can to protect them."
