A 2 a.m. tractor-trailer fire on I-24 eastbound just across the state line in Georgia forced three African elephants onto interstate.
The owners were able to get the elephants out safely allowing firefighters put out the fire while the elephants munched on some hay.
Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said the elephants were huge, but well behaved.
The owners of the tractor-trailer were able to get another tractor to their location so they could continue their trip to Sarasota, Fl.
Firefighters didn't take any photos, for fear of spooking the elephants.
