Metered parking will be free on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the Chattanooga Parking Authority said in a news release today.

Motorists still may not park in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, Fort Wood Residential District, etc.), a news release states, and those restrictions remain in force 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Also, bus passes will not be available from the Parking Authority on the affected days, according to the release.
