A 67-year-old Gruetlil-Laager, Tenn., man died Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle as he walked on a road in Grundy County, Tenn.

Thomas D. Argo was walking north in the middle of state Highway 56 just after 6 p.m. CST Sunday when a 1994 Chevrolet driven by a Coalmont man struck him, said spokesman Sgt. Alan Bailey, with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 50-year-old Martin O. Rojas, Bailey said. Argo was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Grundy County Sheriff Clint Shrum said in a news release that it appeared that Argo's vehicle had broken down in the Cumberland Heights community.

No charges are being filed against the driver, officials said.
