A man has been arrested and charged in connection to house vandalism in DeKalb County, Ala., on Wednesday, according to a release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

Paul Mitchell Dwight Anderson, 23, of Albertville, allegedly bashed in several of his neighbor's windows with a steel rod, hit a wall and smashed in several vehicle windows.

The homeowner woke up to the damage, but by the time officers arrived the subject had left.

Officers then went to the neighboring house, where they arrested Anderson, who has since been charged with criminal mischief, criminal
trespass and reckless endangerment.

"We are glad that no one was hurt during this terrible
incident," Chief Deputy Michael Edmondson said in the release. "The owners did a great job on taking precautions and calling us."
