A 23-year-old man faces life-threatening injuries after being ejected from a vehicle in an early morning crash today on Shallowford Road, according to police.
Yoceph Stephens, 23, was a passenger in a Jeep Liberty that struck a Mazda MA5 in the rear before crossing opposing lanes of traffic, leaving the road, hitting a stone sign and rolling over.
Stephens was partially ejected and trapped under the vehicle, Chattanooga police said.
Bystanders lifted the vehicle off Stephens and emergency services personnel took him to a local hospital.
The crash was reported shortly after 1 a.m.
No other injuries were reported, and the crash is under investigation.
