Chattanooga's Spirit of Innovation winner named

Story-telling platform Pass It Down won the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce's Spirit of Innovation Award today.

Chris Cummings, the company's 30-year-old founder and chief executive, said at an awards luncheon that he sees "huge opportunities" moving ahead.

Other finalists for the award were co-working space Society of Work and The Tomorrow Building apartments.

Also, International Maritime Security Associates won the Early Innovator Award from the Chattanooga Technology Council. It developed the Automated Risk Management Solution, or ARMS, a maritime risk management software platform.

The Young Innovator Award recognized these winners: Blake Bettis of Westview Elementary School; Kywon Cooper and Silas Wiltshire of Normal Park Museum Magnet School; and DaMya Kelly, of Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences.
