A man who called 911 after a shooting Saturday in southwest Atlanta is now facing murder and aggravated assault charges, police said.

Anteria Gordon is back in the Fulton County jail, two years after he was arrested on aggravated assault and criminal weapons charges related to an armed robbery, according to jail records.

This time, Gordon is charged with the shooting death of a 25-year-old man, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Bender told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

That man's name has not yet been released.

Gordon, 24, stayed at the scene of the shooting, 420 Ira Street, after he called 911 about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Bender said.

The man who had been shot multiple times was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, Bender said.

Gordon was cooperative with police investigators who considered the incident a "death investigation," but later established enough probable cause to upgrade it to a homicide investigation, Bender said.
