OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) - A Tennessee teen who police say broke into his father's home, stabbed his dog to death and set the living room on fire has been arrested.

WBIR-TV reports that Oak Ridge Police say 19-year-old Skyler Griffin is charged with aggravated arson, aggravated cruelty to animals and vandalism in connection with the Friday incident.

Police say Griffin walked from his nearby home to his father's house. His father returned home later and told authorities he suspected his son.

Police say Griffin admitted to entering the residence, beating and stabbing the dog to death and setting fire to various items on the living room floor before leaving. He's being held at the Anderson County Detention Facility on $86,000 bond. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
