Members of the North Chattanooga community and the Chattanooga Police Department worked together to arrest a man in connection to a string of car break-ins in the area of the 1100 block of Fairmont Street.
Tips from community members led to the identification of one suspect, Rickey LeBron Davis, 31, who is believed to be responsible for eight burglaries in the area.
Davis was arrested within 32 hours of the start of the investigation. Evidence may connect Davis, who has an extensive history of theft charges in Hamilton County, to other burglaries.
Investigators believe many victims may have not reported thefts in the area, which may be attributed to Davis' actions. CPD encourages all citizens to report crimes, no matter how small they are.
Davis is charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000 with other charges to be determined.
