A Kilpatrick, Ala., man has been charged with four counts of second-degree rape after investigators say he had sexual contact with two underage girls.

In a news release, DeKalb County, Ala., Sheriff Jimmy Harris said Crossville High School called his office to report a possible rape. Investigators found that Junior Pascual Pedro, 20, had contact with the girls in the last three months. Crossville High School serves students in grades six through 12.

Pedro was booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center on $80,000 bond, the sheriff said.

Harris thanked the investigators, Crossville School and the department of human resources "for doing a great job on this investigation."

"This is a sad situation but we are glad that we have a good working relationship with all of the schools and with DHR, so we are able to solve these cases quickly," Harris said.
