Hamilton County Schools needs to hire 11 new principals for the 2018-19 school year.

The school district released a survey today seeking parent feedback on the principals needed at Allen, Alpine Crest, Calvin Donaldson, Daisy, Hixson, Lookout Valley, Westview and Wolftever elementary schools, East Hamilton School, Lookout Valley/Middle High and Tyner Academy.

"Quality schools begin with high-quality leadership," said Bryan Johnson, superintendent of Hamilton County Schools, in a statement. "We have developed a process that will involve the community and faculty in selecting the very best person to lead these schools and advance our goal of Hamilton County Schools becoming the fastest improving school district in the state."

The survey asks parents about the characteristics they desire in a school leader, as well as their hopes and priorities for their schools.
