A Calhoun, Ga., man is awaiting a bond hearing after being charged in a domestic incident that allegedly included biting a 16-year-old on the chest.

In a news release, Calhoun Police Chief Garry Moss said Gary Rea Patterson, 53, is facing one count of first-degree cruelty to children under the family violence act and two counts of third-degree cruelty to children.

Capt. Tony Pyle said in the release that Patterson and the teen lived in the same house at the time of the incident several weeks ago.

The release said detectives investigating abuse allegations saw a large bite mark on the teen's chest during their interview with him.
