Tennessee's baseball team won a series against UNC Greensboro over the weekend at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, taking the first two games before losing 3-2 in the finale Sunday in Knoxville.

The Volunteers (4-3) host Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday and Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Wednesday.

UNCG's Dillon Stewart homered twice Sunday off freshman Garrett Crochet, who was tagged with the loss after pitching the final four innings in relief of Will Neely. Freshman outfielder Zach Daniels hit a home run in the ninth to bring the Vols within a run before Andrew Wantz secured the save for the Spartans (4-3).

Offense was no problem for Tennessee on Saturday, when it secured the series with an 11-4 victory behind 18 hits. Sophomore right-hander Garrett Stallings earned the win by starting and pitching seven innings.

Tennessee began the series Friday with a 3-2 win, courtesy of a seventh-inning RBI double from catcher Benito Santiago. Sophomore reliever Will Heflin threw three scoreless innings to pick up the win before freshman righty Chase Wallace recorded the last two outs.
