A Tennessee Army National Guardsman was arrested Tuesday after missing the equivalent of five months of drill duty.

Demarcus Moore, 23, was arrested at the Dollar General on Broad Street after police were called to serve a warrant. He is charged with absence without leave.

The letter was signed for by Moore on July 27, 2016, court documents state.

Moore was taken into custody without incident. Online court records show he was released on $1,000 bond.
