Three women were arrested Wednesday on prostitution charges following an undercover investigation prompted by complaints from the Hixson community.

An undercover investigator with the Chattanooga Police Department Organized Crime/Vice unit entered the 7 Day Foot Spa in the 5500 block of Hixson Pike around 2 p.m. Wednesday, posing as a customer and paying for a regular massage, according to a Friday news release. At the end of the massage, additional illicit services were offered for a fee.

The three suspects worked together to maintain the business, which promoted prostitution, according to investigators. The three also allegedly lived in the business. The city of Chattanooga's Codes Enforcement department condemned the building for multiple code violations.

"Investigators also located Chinese passports and work visas for the three suspects," the release states. "Homeland Security was contacted and is following up on the legal status of the suspects."
