Pedestrian killed early Wednesday in Cleveland

A pedestrian in Cleveland, Tennessee, was killed early Wednesday when he was struck by a 2008 GMC Sierra that was traveling east on Paul Huff Parkway.

The victim, described as a white male, has not been named. The driver of the GMC also was not named. The collision happened at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in front of the Bradley County EMS station on Paul Huff Parkway, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Evie West said in an emailed statement.

Members of the Cleveland Police Department's Fatal Crash Response Team responded to assist in the investigation, West said. The investigation is ongoing.
