Baylor will play for the Division II-AA boys' basketball state championship Saturday after defeating Briarcrest 45-44 in a semifinal Friday at Lipscomb University.

Tre Jackson was fouled on a rebound with 0.9 seconds remaining in a tie game. With the Red Raiders in the double bonus, Jackson went to the free-throw line for two shots.

He made the first. Then after Briarcrest called a timeout, he missed the second on purpose, leaving the Saints' player who rebounded the ball a length-of-the-floor desparation heave, which came up short.

Randy Brady led Baylor (19-6) with 13 points and Patrick Urey added 10.
