Three arrested in East Ridge on drug charges

Three people were arrested on multiple drug-related charges at an East Ridge home on the 6800 block of Martha Avenue Wednesday.

Brandon Clayborn, Whitney Boatner and Jonathan Bech are charged with criminal conspiracy, manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from East Ridge Police.

Clayborn is also charged with possession of cocaine for resale, possession of schedule four for resale and possession for marijuana resale.

The drugs and drug paraphernalia was discovered by law enforcement after East Ridge police and Tennessee Probation and Parole officers stopped at Clayborn's home for a residence check, the news release states.

Citizen had complained to police about high amounts of traffic at the home, and at east one confirmed overdose took place at that location.

Officers located 15.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 12.2 grams of suspected marijuana, three Xanax (Alprazolam) bars, and approximately 6.6 grams of cocaine.

Multiple syringes were also found inside Clayborn's bedroom, and a digital scale was located in his closet, according to the news release.

In the bathroom, officers found a black box that contained several bags of suspected methamphetamine with a total weight of approximately 11.7 ounces (327 grams). More syringes, another digital scale and a pipe were located in the safe.

A receipt listing the name "Whitney Boatner" was found inside one of the bags of methamphetamine, along with an empty wallet.

Boatner was at the scene and identified herself as the girlfriend of Jonathan Bech who was Clayborn's roommate. Boatner also had warrants for her arrest in Alabama, for which she can be extradited.
