Man injured in early morning shooting on Ashland Terrace

Officers responded to a report early Thursday morning of a person shot in the 600 block of Ashland Terrace, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Police arrived on the scene about 2:05 a.m. and found Ryan Crowe, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Crowe was taken by Hamilton County Emergency Services to a local hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A witness told police that suspects entered the residence and demanded money from Crowe. While Crowe attempted to fight off the suspects, he was shot by one of them, according to the witness.
