ORIGINAL STORY: Chattanooga police are searching for a suspect involved in a Monday, Jan. 7 robbery at BB&T Bank at 2120 Gunbarrel Rd., according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
A white male suspect captured on surveillance footage reportedly entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and left on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Investigators determined that he shaved his facial hair and changed clothes after leaving the bank, the release states.
During the robbery, the suspect had a beard and was wearing a a black baseball cap, long-sleeved blue pullover shirt, blue camouflage pants, sunglasses and white shoes. After the robbery, the suspect didn't have a beard and was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt and light blue shorts.
He also has tattoos on his arms and chest, weighs about 160-170 pounds and stands about 5'10'' tall, according to the release.
