Meet the team at Henry B. Glascock Co.

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Henry Glascock is the man behind the local commercial real estate company that remains one of the most experienced firms in the area.

He was raised in real estate, going back to his grandfather and his parents who spent their entire lives in the business.

"When I graduated from the University of Virginia in 1973 I had a natural 'in' to the real estate world," said Glascock. "I started with the best, working for Fletcher Bright, learned the basics from him and moved on to start my own company in 1981."

Glascock is involved in all apects of commercial real estate as an appraiser, broker, auctioneer and consultant. He is qualified as an expert in federal, state and county courts throughout the tristate area.

In 1999, Glascock opened the Tennessee office of John Dixon and Associates, a national real estate auction firm, and has been involved in real estate auctions in 26 states over the past 15 years.

He draws from all of his many experiences as he continues to shape and develop his company. From the days of property selling for top money, to the days of the great recession when they went for 10 cents on the dollar, Glascock said there are many situations that impact his knowledge and know-how of the real estate world.

"We don't have the luxury of specializing in one small aspect of real estate," he said. "All the collective experiences that I've had shape anything I do."

While his experience and leadership guide the firm in its continued growth and success, Glascock also credits his team of professionals for making his company what it is today.

Lisa Roberts serves as office manager and is a 25-year veteran in real estate, handling the

company's day-to-day operations of the office. She monitors all real estate, appraiser and business licenses, oversees accounts, researches for comparables and assists with appraisals and coordinating closing activities of the Tennessee office of John Dixon.

Then there's Savage Glascock, real estate analyst and consultant, who's been in the real estate world since 1982. In more than 30 years, he has analyzed thousands of commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential income and institutional properties through the southeast.

Wendy Elliott leads business development for Glascock. She has worked in all facets of the real estate business, including sales, mortgage, finance and auctions, for the past 19 years. Her expertise in marketing and business development and extensive background in research for properties suitable for auction make her an invaluable asset to the team, said Glascock.

Last but not least is Chad Oliver, in charge of property tax appeals. He is well versed in ommercial real estate, but for Glascock, he handles real estate tax appeals throughout North Georgia and East Tennessee. His experience includes extensive analysis of residential development properties and company-owned freestanding commercial buildings such as branch banks, fast food restaurants and storage facilities and more.

From Glascock down, each team member works to serve his or her clients and make each real state transaction orderly and efficient, he said. Glascock also noted that he is glad to call Chattanooga his place of work and home. Married to Haven Glascock since 1972, the Scenic City native has one son, two grandsons and another on the way.
