Life is good: XMC celebrates 25 years in business

Celebrating a silver anniversary is a thing of beauty and promise, and at XMC, a Xerox authorized sales agent, it's also an invitation to continue forward in an industry bursting with technology and innovation.

"The past 25 years has been an incredible era of changes in technology," said Steve Kovalcik, general manager for XMC's East Region. "The fact that XMC continues to adapt and grow is a significant testimony to the stability of our leadership, and the power of representing Xerox, which continues to lead the industry in developing workflow solutions for the office environment, as well as world-class digital print production equipment for commercial printers and in-plant production; [This] along with our entry into mailing solutions, puts XMC in a strong position for continued growth and success in the industry."

Kovalcik shared that in 2015, XMC expanded its product line to include not just copiers, but mailing solutions.

"As an authorized dealer for FP Mailing solutions, we now offer postage meters, inserts, folding equipment and mailing software that enables businesses to automate their mail processing, thus improving productivity," he said. "Also, Xerox continues to lead the industry in office technology innovation. With the recent launch of the Xerox i-Series Smart multi-function printers, the user interface is even more simplified and devices are outfitted with a suite of common workflow apps."

Connect Key is the name of the technology that offers the apps that provide clients with the ability to print from the cloud, scan emails, request a service call or even order supplies at the touch of a finger. Kovalcik said this software not only allows companies to take advantage of commercial base pricing, but also provides reports based on actual usage, user access and much more.

And the new services and products are just the tip of the iceberg for the company as it enters its next chapter. Kovalcik said continued growth in XMC's customer base and its sales and service teams is expected.

"XMC is an organization focused on learning and improving skill sets across all levels," he noted. "We will continue to expand our product and service offerings, focused on delivering solutions that enable our customers to reduce costs, increase operating efficiencies and improve workflow for printed and electronic documents."

He added that Xerox continues to be the leader in office systems technology, as well as color digital print production for commercial printing companies and in-plant production.

"What really sets us apart is our ability to provide a full range of solutions for companies of all sizes, within all industries," Kovalcik said. "As the second largest Xerox agency in the U.S., combined with our expanded offering that includes managed print services, electronic document management and mailing solutions, we can build the most productive workplace for our customers."

When asked to describe the company's service and philosophy in one word, Kovalcik said it has to be "optimism."

"The concept that 'life is good' is firmly embedded in our culture," he said, sharing how each new week begins with a team meeting where every team member shares something good that's happened. "And it's not something that's good for the company; it's personal. We're growing community and our company."
