Dr. Elysia P. Belva has joined Dr. Thomas C. Kisling in practice at Northgate Family Dentistry.
She is a graduate of Chattanooga Central High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry earlier this year.
She and her husband, Stuart, and daughter, Natalie, live in Ooltewah.
Law firm names 3 associates
Shelton Swafford Chambers, S. Spencer Elg and Dustin J. Manning are new associates in the Chattanooga office of Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP.
Ms. Chambers, a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, is in the tax, benefits and estate planning department.
Mr. Elg, who earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, is in the litigation department.
Mr. Manning, a graduate of Cumberland School of Law, is in the insolvency and commercial bankruptcy department.
Husch Blackwell Sanders is a litigation and business services law firm with about 625 attorneys.
McKinney joins Access American
W. Dean McKinney has joined Access American Transport as director of finance, according to Chief Financial Officer Barry Large.
Mr. McKinney is a former business owner who previously was a principal with Pershing Yoakley & Associates and an audit manager with KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a graduate of Lee University and a certified public accountant.
Mr. McKinney and his wife, Cindy, and their two children live in Ooltewah.
Access American Transport is a third-party logistics company based in Chattanooga. It has six additional locations and specializes in truckload, less-than-truckload and supply chain management services.
Artech's project receives honors
Artech, an architecture and interior design firm, has reported its East Hamilton school project received top honors at the annual Tennessee School Board Association convention held earlier this month.
Artech said East Hamilton, a middle and high school in the eastern part of Hamilton County, received top honors in both the midde and high school divisons for 2009. The Hamilton County Board of Education submitted the nomination, a news release stated.
Artech was founded in 1985 and employs 30 people, including 15 registered architects and four interior designers. It is licensed to practice in 40 states.
Mi Belvin becomes law office associate
Mi W. Belvin has become an associate in the Chattanooga office of the law firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan PLLC.
She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and earned her law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She was born in Wuhan, China, and raised in Birmingham, Ala. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Leitner is a defense firm with 100 attorneys in offices in Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Atlanta and Oxford, Miss. It was founded in 1882.
Callaham Graphic Design wins honors
Greg Callaham Graphic Design has won three 2009 American Graphic Design awards from Graphic Design USA, a national trade publication.
Callaham was saluted for its billboard and logo design and for corporate identity/stationery packaging.
"I've been a graphic designer for more than 20 years and it's always exciting and extremely satisfying to be recognized by one's peers, especially at this level," said company owner Greg Callaham.

Thibaud joins Southside Creative
Teal Thibaud has joined Southside Creative Group as social media manager.
She has experience in developing social networking campaigns for Smart Furniture's array of office and home furinture product lines. She is a graduate of East Tennessee State University.

Jewelry industry recognizes pair
Mary M. Schenck and Charles Barry Schenck of M.M. Schenck Jewelers at 3953 Hixson Pike have received certificates of accreditation from the American Gem Society.
They are both certified gemologist appraisers.
Mark Moeller and Ruth Batson, president and CEO, respectively, of the society, signed the certifications.
John Higgins II named to board
John F. Higgins II has been named to the 2010 board of directors of the National Precast Concrete Association.
He serves as director of operations for Sherman-Dixie Concrete Industries, a Nashville-based maker of precast concrete pipe and precast concrete storm and sanitary civil-eningeered systems. It has 10 facilities in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio and Indiana.
The NPCA is an international trade association that represents the manufactured concrete products industry.
Kenco to operate California center
Chattanooga-based Kenco Logistic Services LLC has been selected to establish and operate a second direct-to-consumer distribution center in Chino, Calif., for Keurig Inc., a manufacturer of single-cup home brewing systems.
John Heller, Keurig's vice president-finance, said "Kenco has been highly effective for us through its national DC (distribution center) in Chattanooga. When we decided it was time to establish a second DC in California, it was a logical choice to stay with this trusted partner."
The Chattanooga center has been managed and operated by Kenco from its 390,000-square-foot multi-client facility since 2007. The new Chino location is in a 170,000-square-foot multi-client Kenco facility.
