Project: Walnut Hill Townhomes, phase III.
Owner: Area builders Dale Mabee, Don Moon and Mike Moon.
Location: 400 block of Walnut Street.
Architect: Artech Design Group Inc.
Size: The 2,502-square-foot base townhome includes a full bath, closet, kitchenette and private parking garage with flex space above for a recreation room, office or general living.
Contractor: Urban Renaissance Group.
Price/rent per unit: Townhomes start at $610,000. Prices vary as options change.
Scope: The townhomes offer single-family living with personal parking downtown. Buyers can have their townhomes custom-built up to three stories, with living space over each garage.
History: Construction on phases I and II began in 2008 with six townhomes each. Mabee said all phase I and II homes have sold along with two of the 10 townhomes in phase III of the development.
Future: Mabee said since the national economy has bounced back from the housing bust of the mid-2000s, "the market has accelerated" allowing for the current construction.
Timeline: "We're halfway through this phase," said Mabee. Building more townhomes will hinge on demand.
