VW to show Passat in China

Volkswagen and a partner in China will unveil at this week's Shanghai Auto Show a version of the Chattanooga-made Passat that was introduced earlier this year in Detroit, according to Edmunds Inside Line.

Shanghai-VW will build a similar version in China, with production expected to begin this summer, it said.

Another joint venture, FAW-VW, plans to show a different version of the European-based Passat that debuted last fall at the Paris auto show.
