VW Jetta probed for fuel leak

The National Highway Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI and Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI.

Seven customers have reported that diesel fuel leaks from the No. 2 fuel injector. The Mexico-made vehicles had between 2,470 and 7,764 miles on their odometers when the leak was discovered. The vehicles have 2 liter TDI common rail diesel engines.

NHTSA said there has also been one report of the issue occurring on a Volkswagen Golf TDI. The investigation affects about 40,000 Jetta TDI models. No accidents or injuries have been reported.
