Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce adopts YPAC as ally
The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce has voted unanimously to adopt the Young Professionals Association of Chattanooga as a Chamber program.
The decision comes after months of discussion about how the two organizations can partner together to increase professional, philanthropic and social opportunities for young professionals and area businesses and organizations.
"We're very excited to engage in this new venture with YPAC," said Kristi Haulsee, vice president of member-investor services for the Chamber.
YPAC President Elizabeth Crenshaw said the partnership will allow YPAC to position its members to take on meaningful leadership positions.
Morning Pointe adds center in Lenoir City
Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Independent Healthcare Properties LLC are building a $5 million center for those with Alzheimer to its Loudon County senior services campus.
The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer's and Memory Care Center of Excellence will include 40 apartments on the 10-acre campus, which is scheduled to open next summer.
Greg Vital, president and CEO of Independent Healthcare Properties, said the new facility will "better serve the aging population of the Knoxville and Lenoir City areas by expanding its current Alzheimer's wing to a free-standing, state-of-the-art memory care center."
