Siskin Hospital wins PR awards
Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation won top prizes for its newsletter and marketing materials during the recent 28th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards sponsored by the Healthcare Marketing Report.
Siskin was awarded the Bronze Award for its Spirit Newsletter and the hospital won Merit Awards for the "Hope" Direct Mail piece, all of the marketing materials used for the 20th Anniversary Siskin Hospital Golf Classic, and the 20th Anniversary Patient Testimonial Commercial featuring A.B. Barnes.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is a national competition that began its efforts to recognize the field of healthcare marketing and advertising. Nearly 4,000 entries were received this year.
AFS adds local outlet, personnel
AFS, one of Tennessee's most successful foundation repair businesses, has opened a local office and warehouse.
Scott Wilson, who has been in the industry for 18 years; and Chris Gabrielli, who joined AFS a year ago after nearly two decades in residential construction, will serve as sales representatives for AFS in the new Chattanooga office.
AFS provides patented and warranted products, including wall anchors, and also makes repairs for wall cracks, settlement, leveling, heaving and more.
Diagnostic gets certification
Diagnostic Cardiology Group in Chattanooga was recently granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). The new lab group was established with the support of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography (SOPE) to provide a peer review mechanism to recognize quality echocardiographic diagnostic evaluations.
Echocardiographic testing is useful in the detection and management of many types of heart disease. This noninvasive test has become one of the standard diagnostic tools in cardiology with an estimated 10 million echocardiograms performed annually in the United States.
