Gestamp Chattanooga LLC, which supplies Volkswagen's production plant with stamped parts and welded assemblies for the new Passat, has been awarded a $31,697 job training grant.
The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development grant will provide training to 14 employees in Fanuc robot training.
"This kind of training grant not only helps educate workers, but also provides incentive to employers looking to relocate or expand in Tennessee," Gov. Bill Haslam said.
