DALTON, Ga. - The nation's third largest floor covering manufacturer is shaking up its management team after refinancing its debt last October.

The Beaulieu Group announced today that Karel Vercruyssen, president of Beaulieu of Canada for the past five years, is president and chief operating officer of the entire Beaulieu Group.

Reporting to Vercruyssen will be Nicolas Bouckaert, the newly appointed president of the commercial division, and two newly formed divisions led by vice-presidents Phil Bates over woven fabrics and Hans Bakker over specialty fabrics.

Del Land will remain chief financial officer and Peter Farley will continue as legal counsel to round out the company's executive team.

Ralph Boe, who maintains his leadership as chief executive over the entire Beaulieu Group, said the changes reflect Beaulieu's continued plan to strengthen and grow its position in the market after securing a $230 million loan refinance package last October and adding new accounts since last fall.

"We are definitely headed in the right direction," Boe said. "This new executive structure will allow us to better harness the very positive momentum we've begun over the last six months and be more laser focused on each division in the company."

Vercruyssen will also act as president to the residential division and handle its operations duties, while Boe will also be over residential sales and marketing, in addition to his CEO responsibilities.

"Karel comes to us from Beaulieu Canada where he grew that company extremely well as its CEO and president over the last five years," said Boe. "He will also continue to have responsibility for the separately owned Beaulieu of Canada."
