Cartersville lands parts plant

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - An Austrian auto parts supplier plans to build a $62 million manufacturing plant in Georgia's Bartow County, creating an estimated 220 jobs.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said Wednesday the facility built by Voestalpine Metal Forming will be the firm's first in the Southeast.

In return for locating in Georgia, the company will receive free training for its workforce and could receive nearly $9 million in state tax breaks.
