What were the top five biggest building projects in Chattanooga in 2011?

The biggest value building projects started in Chattanooga last year included:

1 Amazon distribution center, 7200 Discover Drive, The Conlan Co., Indiana Industrial Contractors, Jake Marshall and other contractors involved in the $91 million facility.

2 Memorial Hospital, 2525 De Sales Ave., Brasfield & Gorrie and other contractors started work on a $318 million expansion and upgrade of the hospital's main campus. The work is ongoing.

3 Archer Daniels Midland, processing mill at 5991 Hickory Valley Road, built by MPL Construction Co. The $9.1 million project is ongoing.

4 New hotel at Cameron Harbor, 495 Riverfront Parkway by EMJ Corp. The $8.2 million project still is being built.

5 Akzo Nobel SPG LLC, addition to its specialty chemical plant at 903 Mueller Ave. The $6.7 million addition was built by Jake Marshall LLC.
