Volkswagen names two plant leaders

Dr. Detlev Hoge will become the new director of manufacturing for Volkswagen's Chattanooga assembly plant.

Hoge, who will assume the post Oct. 1, currently is head of production planning in VW's Emden, Germany, plant. Don Jackson, the Chattanooga plant's former manufacturing president, retired earlier this summer.

Also, James Blagg, currently in assembly production at the Chattanooga plant, will become general manager and head of the plant's body shop Aug. 1. Blagg joined VW in 2009 as part of the startup team.
